Say hello to Alex!

As you all know Alexander started with us on Monday, and I'm pleased thus far with how the transition is going. Of course adding to our crazy chaos takes time but I'm sure that he'll fit right in. On Monday, Akaiylyn and Ellie were fighting as to who was going to sit with him at the table and while we were cleaning up from lunch they fought over who was going to bring his plate to the dishwasher, so mom's be prepared to what is to come... boycrazy! ;)

Alexs' mom is Kristen Steele and she's in the Navy, so now Richard is not all by himself! We promise not to hold the Navy against you guys ;) Kristen works over on the Medina side of Lackland and she's in a high security area, I really have no idea what she does, and if I did and told you, she would probably have to kill me! So, we'll just leave it at that! Currently they live in the Culebra/410 area, however they are going to renting a home in our area! yeah!!

Several of you have asked me about the potty training issue. I'm going to refer to my contract on this one and let you know that I will help with the potty training here at my home, once you have been successful at home. I know several of you have looked into the 3 day potty training process and I was just on the website and while I know nothing about it, so the link if you are interested in potty training in 3 days is ... http://www.3daypottytraining.com/ should you decide to use this method, please send me the ebook so that I can educate myself on how best to be of use for your child.
I hope to have the Childrens' Museum pictures up during the weekend. Apparently, my darling husband sent them all to our Smug Mug account and I don't want to give you access to that site as it's all our families pictures as well. So, I have to figure out how to now transfer them to Shutterfly. As soon I as get them done, I'll shoot you all an email to let you know.

This weekend, I will be rearranging the cubbies. As of now I have a cubby for everyone, however I don't like how it's arranged in the closet, so be looking for your child's name on Monday in the closet and you will find the new cubby.
I'm on the lookout for things to add to our dramatic play materials...

baby doll clothes
small diapers
small bottles
purses
lab coats
medical supplies
masks (surgical)
cars, not the small ones (hot wheels) , but rather the bigger ones..
Art materials
dry erase markers
feathers
sheets of foam

Again, anything you want to donate will be greatly appreciated. ;)
For Easter, I have baskets that Braylen and Suroyas' grandma donated and so I'll be using those as their baskets... we will dye eggs, and I will be teaching the children the Easter story, we will make the resurrection cookies, we will make them during the week, however it means more when you do it the night before Easter and then you have them on Easter morning...

Screws are still there!! ;(

Okay,
so yesterday I took a half day off thinking that I was going to get the screws out of my right knee. After getting to the Ortho. Dept. they took xrays and Dr. Keeney came in and let me know that my bone has grown OVER the bolt... Lovely!! ;) So, in order to remove them I have to have surgery yet again! He could do it next week, however he wouldn't want me in the ocean for 6 - 8 weeks and we all know that I'm SOOO lookin forward to having toes in the sand during our trip to South Padre on April 23rd. So, I've scheduled the surgery for the 27th of April.
As you all know I'm already off on Friday, April 24th now I'll also be off on the 27th. I know several of you also have plan for Fiesta on this weekend, so just let me know what your care needs are and I'll start looking for care for you! ;)
I did talk with Ms. Becky today and she will offer care for those that need it on the 27th of April.

Thanks,

Ms. Kimberly

We are a piece of silver!!

Good Afternoon,

I can't even begin to put into words what this term at school has done to me. This semester has by far been one of the most challenging that I've experienced since going back to school.
I have a tendancy to have self doubt and not rely heavily on my own opinions, unless of course I KNOW I'm right! :) So, this morning before heading out to take finals, I opened my email box and I found a very appropriate email from one of my sister in laws.
It touched me so, that I definately cried. But I know that I'm not alone in this journey and neither are any of you!
On my way home from picking Akaiylyn and Ellie up from Ms. Becky's, I was looking in the rearview mirror at the girls grinning from ear to ear listening to the Barney CD, and I started reflecting upon converstations that I've had with you all the last 2 weeks, and well just know that you are not alone!

We are all a piece of silver!

Malachi 3:3 says: 'He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.'

This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God.

One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study.

That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining Silver.

As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities.

The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot; then she thought again about the verse that says: 'He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver.' She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined.

The man answered that yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.

The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, 'How do you know when the silver is fully refined?' He smiled at her and answered, 'Oh, that's easy -- when I see my image in it.'
If today you are feeling the heat of the fire , remember that God has his eye on you and will keep watching you until He sees His image in you.

Bless you all and Have a Great Weekend!! :)

WOO HOO!!! Finals are OVER!! ;)
